My final procedure

Well, here it is, the morning of the last procedure since being diagnosed with breast cancer last June 9th.
It's crazy that it's only been a year. Wow. I mean, there's been a lot packed into this year, but not having to take chemotherapy, which really slows a person down on getting back to normal, put me on the fast track!
Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement, the ears for listening and the hugs throughout this last year.

Must be May

The first rose has bloomed in my yard this year! And I thought that for the first time in 5 years since we've lived here I'd show the rose bushes a little love. They are about 50 years old, which I love. Guess that's why I want to take care of them. But, after weeding around them, digging, putting food down and water them, my body looks like it's been in a losing battle with a cat!!! I'm wondering if it's worth it!

Anyway, here's the first few blooms...enjoy!

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!

Here's a little bit of life....mine....such as it is.

Sunday, May 9, 2010

My husband and I planted our parking strip with some gorgeous grasses and lavenders, etc. But, one of the grasses, a sea grass, overtook the whole thing and was out of control. We decided to pull it all up and start over. However, the sea grasses root system is extremely extensive and we had to pull it out, twice!
Here we are at work. I put Betty in the back of the station wagon so she could be outside with us. The traffic is due to us being right down the road from a ferry. Apparently, a boat was unloading!

Enjoy!

One month of unemployment

Here I am, a month into it. Unemployment. First time in my life!
Here's how I spend my days when I'm not scouring the web for jobs, meeting contacts for coffee or doing yoga!
And yes, I know....Betty is looking chunky!
